Experimental Study on Radioactive Tracer of Hydraulic Fracturing in Oilfield

  • For the evaluation of the hydraulic fractures the production increasing measures in the oil deposit, the radioactive tracer technique is used to trace fracture in field. First, three kinds of tracer-sand are prepared, which are injected into the fracture during fracturing process, and then by the energy spectrum logging and tracing the gamma counting rate of the energy area in the stratum, The height and depth of the fracture can be accurate located and judge out whether the fracture is in the target stratum. Three kinds of tracer-sand tracked the fracturing process, which can reflect whether the fracture develops during the process, and then evaluates the hydraulic fracturing. The radioactive tracer of hydraulic fracture can enrich the fracture parameters and provide an effective basis for evaluation and the design of the fracture in the same oil block.
