Meridians Imaging of 18F-FDG and 18F-NaF Tracers Using MicroPET in Rats

  • In order to research the migration line after injection of the tracer to Zusanli acupoint. 18F-FDG or 18F-sodium fluoride was injected into Zusanli acupoint of the rats in doses of 0.03~0.1 mL (200~300 uCi). The microPET image and CT image were acquired respectively and fused together and reconstruction of 3D. 18F-FDG and 18F-sodium fluoride could show the migration line in meridian objectively, however, the 18F-sodium fluoride showed significant bone uptake. 18F-FDG was superior to 18F-sodium fluoride in meridians imaging. The results showed that 18F-FDG was more suitable for use in meridians imaging.
