Application Feasibility Study of Digital Imaging Technology During the Construction of Nuclear Power

  • Ray detection is one of the main NDT methods in nuclear power construction. Each plant unit in the process of building will probably need to take two hundred thousand sets of film. While the traditional film photographic detection technology has many disadvantages. Therefore, there is an urgent need to seek a new kind of high quality ray detection method. Digital imaging CR technology is the most promising to replace the film imaging. The article selected the CR technology for the feasibility study subject of nuclear power construction. Using confirmatory test block, the influence factors of the image quality and the technical characteristics of CR technology were tested and studied. By establishing and using large defect sample library, process parameters which can be used in nuclear power piping weld contrast test was formulated and perfected. Contrast test of CR and film technology had been done to the plant pipe welds. From the technical features, technical feasibility, application of economy, operation flexibility and convenience, etc, the feasibility analysis was completed to CR technology application in the nuclear power construction.
