Abstract
111In was produced by the nuclear reaction of natCd(p,xn)111In. In order to separate 111In from Cyclotron irradiated natural Cd target,a radiochemical purification procedure of CL-D2EHPA extraction chromatography method was developed. Based on the distribution coefficients (Kd) of In3+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+ between Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate resin and hydrochloric acid or nitric acid medium, the separation of 111In from natural Cd and other nuclides using CL-D2EHPA resin column and different concentrations of HNO3 and HCl as the eluants had been studied. The Cd、Cu、Zn fractions were eluted by 7 mol/L HNO3, 111In fraction was washed out and collected in 3 mol/L HCl. The recovery yield of 111In3+ was over 96%. The radionuclidic purity of 111In produced by natural Cd was more than 96%, The total chemical impurity was less than 2 mg/L.
