Advance in Radiation-voltaic Isotope Battery

  • The RVIB (radiationvoltaic isotope batteries) may be applied widely in the microsystems such as IC and MEMS for their excellent character. The researches in RVIB focus on improving energy conversion efficiency and stability by the utilization of devices with 3D structure and some novel materials, combined the selection diversity of the driving radioactive isotopes. Based on summarily introducing RIB (radiation isotope batteries), detailedly reviewed the advance in RIVB in lately years, expected the research orientation and the application prospects of RVIB in this paper.
