Eliminating the Interference of 40Ar2+ to 20Ne by Using Ionization Energy

  • In order to eliminate the interference of 40Ar2+ to 20Ne in the GAM400 QMS’s detectability, the method of regulating impacting electron energy near a threshold which is the sum of the first and second ionization energy of 40Ar was used. This method needs no sample additional preparing conditions and doesn’t change the origin sample. So it is a simple and quick method to eliminate the interference in the analysis of Ne isotopes.
