Polonium and Radium Led the Development of

The discovery history of Polonium and Radium are briefly retrospected here at the 110th anniversary of these natural radioactive elements discovery. In view of the marked decrease of Radium applications nowadays, the production routes, radioactive features, radiation safety and important uses of Polonium are emphastically described, so as to commemorate the great men - M. Curie and P, Curie that they revealed the mysteries of radioactivity.
