The Application of ~(99)Tc~m-PHY and ~(113)In~m-DTPA Double Nuclides Imaging on Gastric Emptying

  • Twenty health volunteers and 165 patients (included Ⅱ diabetics mellitus(DM), duodenal ulcer(DU), functional dyspepsia(FD) and progressive systemic sclerosis(PSS) are imaged with double nuclides mixture of 99TcmPHY and 99TcmPHYchick liver; the normal gastric halfemptying time (T1/2) are calculated and the gastric emptying function of the patients are discussed. The results show that the liquid phase T1/2 is 41.2±91 min,solid phase T1/2 is 70.5±16.5 min, and the normal upper limit of liquid phase T1/2 is 60 min, solid phase T1/2 is 104 min. 47 patients of 107 Ⅱ diabetics(43.9%) are the solid phase delayed gastric emptying, 19 patients(17.8%) are the liquid phase delayed gastric emptying. After the treatment with Cisapride, the solid and liquid gastric are significantly reduced (P<0.01). The gastric delayed emptying in the PSS patients is the most severity and numerous (82%). So, it is a sensitive and stable method that double nuclides imaging for gastric emptying study, especially solid phase.
