The Evaluation of ~(153)Sm-EDTMP Therapy of Disseminated Skeletal Metastases Using Tumor Seeking Agent ~(99)Tc~m (V)-DMSA

Using tumor- seeking agent 99Tcm ( ) - DMSA,follow- up imaging studies are performed on 1 6 cases of disseminated metastases who received 2～ 8times of1 53Sm- EDTMP radiation therapy.The results indicate that the disappearance rate of axial skeletal lesions and long bone lesions are48.1 % and41.9% respectively,the total disappearance rate of skeletal lesions is 45.8%. Since99Tcm( ) - DMSA has a affinity to tumor and bone tissue,it is notonly theoretically reliable and objective in judging the patients response to1 53Sm- EDTMP,but also clinically important in selecting therapeutic methodology,determining of dosage and assessing of patient's prognosis.
