Overview of Analysis Methods of (129)I

There has been a rapid increase in the number of studies of 129 I since 1970's. These studies have employed a variety of pre treatment and analysis methods, with varying degrees of accuracy and precision. The relevant techniques are discussed and compared in this paper. The radioactive methods for determining 129 I are mainly NNA and liquid scintillation counting, while the non radioactive ones are mass spectrometry, atomic emission spectrometry, etc.
