STUDY ON THE DYNAMICS IN ABSORPTION OF ~(32)P BY HYBRID WHEAT AT ELONGATE STAGE

  • The dynamics of absorpting 32P of hybrid wheat at elongate stage is studied under pot culture conditions. The results show that the absorption capacity of hybrid wheat to 32P is in agreement with regression equation: y=a+bx+cx2. The increased extent of absorption for them is greater than that for parent with time, and the reduction rate of absorption is lower than the parent significantly. Their root activity is much higher than that of the parent, too. The overall heterotic vigour of hybrid wheat on the absorption capacity to 32P is the sum of that of all organs.
