Abstract
Reactor-produced ~(153)Sm is both a beta and gammar emitter with a physical half-life of 46.7 h. Under optimum conditions, EDTMP complexed ~(153)Sm in high yield..(153)Sm -EDTMP, with the better combination of high bone uptake in rats, low nonosseous uptake, and rapid blood clearance, could be therapeutically useful in treating bone cancer.
