DETERMINATION OF THE ASPHALT CONTENT OF THE ASPHALT CONCRETE BY SURFACE NEUTRON GAUGE

This paper describes the principle, calibration and field detection of determining the asphalt content of asphalt concrete by surface neutron gauge. This method can be utilized to measure the asphalt content for asphalt concrete dams, highways and airport runways and to control the engineering quality.
