DEVELOPMENT OF A ~(60)Co ROD SOURCE FOR THE LEVEL GAGE USED IN UREA STRIPPING TOWER

This paper describes the installation of the level gaging system in the urea stripping tower, the construction of the radioactive rod source and the approximate calculation of the activity distribution.Comparing the results obtained from the trial-produced source with that of imported source, the feasibility of the theory and practice is confirmed. The technological process of production,the method attaining axial activity distribution of the line source and site exercise for the trialproduced rod source are also presented,
