MULTIELEMENT ANALYSES AND HOMOGENEITY STUDIES OF THREE NATIONAL FOOD SRM

  • Some 8—15 elements have been determined in three national food standard reference materials——pig liver, kale, and wheat. Radiochemical neutron activation analysis (RNAA), as well as instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA)was used for biologically important element As, Excellent agreement between our data and finally recommended ones (by Institute of Commodity Testing and Institute of Edible Oils and Foodstuffs, Ministry of Commerce) verified the reliability of our results, Homogeneity studies have been carried out for five to seven elements using INAA. The results indicate that all the three SRMs are homogeneous in terms of major, minor and trace element concentrations.
