THE USE OF RADIOISOTOPE TRACERS IN CORROSION STUDIES

  • The radioisotope tracers are widely used in various problems of science and technology. The tracer method also gives satisfactory results in the study of corrosion and protection of structure materials. In this paper we give some examples of its applications in the investigation of corrosion, such as general corrosion, pitting corrosion, hydrogen embrittlement, inhibitors and the formation of passive films on metals.
