RESIN BEAD TECHNIQUE IN SURFACE IONIZATION MASS SPECTROMETRIC ANALYSIS

  • Using anion resin bead as a sample Carrier, colloid graphite and mixed solution of sucrose with rhenium powder as an adhesive, uranium isotope analysis was investigated in MAT-260 mass spectrometer with single filament. Metallic uranium ions were obtained. The sensitivity was 2—3 orders of magnitude higher than that of conventional method. The technique permits analysis of uranium on a single filament loading.
