INVESTIGATION ON THE LEVELS OF CONTAMINATION AND EXTERNAL IRRADIATION IN THE HOSPITAL RADIOISOTOPE LABORATORIES

  • Our results showed that the main contamination in the hospital radioisotope laboratories was on the ground, wall and bench in high radioactive area and on the bench in low radioactive area. Contamination of worker's hands was more serious than that of working clothes, being approximately 1.6 ×10~5 times of permitted value. The average maximun external irradiation dosage accepted by the chest operators was 32.4 × 10~(-5) Sv. a~(-1), much lower than the permitted value.
