THE DEVELOPMENT OF NUCLEAR SUSPENDEDSEDIMENT FLUX GAUGE HDD-1

The Nuclear Suspended-Sediment Flux Gauge is a new-tyPe fast meterfor whole sectional suspended-sediment flux measurement. It measures the sediment concentration. water depth, velocity of flow and distance between starting and measuring points and handles data in-situ by microcomputer. It has been tested during flood seasons of Yellow River and compared with routine sectional integration method. The comparison square-root deviation is ±4.7％, meeting the requirements of the state hydrologic norm.
