高通量堆辐照生产252Cf转换特性研究

Research on Conversion Characteristics of Producing 252Cf in High Flux Reactor

  • 摘要: 252Cf的规模化制备主要依靠在高通量堆内对靶件进行辐照。辐照生产252Cf存在转换链复杂、裂变损耗大、成品率低等特点,为提高252Cf产量,本研究对影响252Cf产量的因素进行分析,包括中子通量水平、能谱分布、靶核种类、靶件结构等,结果表明,中子通量、能谱分布对252Cf产量具有显著影响,采用重靶核及环形靶有利于提高超钚核素产量。本研究结果可为高通量堆辐照生产252Cf方案设计提供参考。

     

    Abstract: The large-scale production of 252Cf mainly depends on irradiating targets in high flux reactor. The production of 252Cf has the characteristics of complex conversion chain, more intermediate nuclides and remarkable fission losses of target feedstock, which brings great challenges to further improve the production of 252Cf. The factors affecting 252Cf production were analyzed, including neutron flux level, neutron energy spectrum distribution, target type and structure, etc. The study shows that neutron flux and energy spectrum distribution have a significant impact on 252Cf’s amounts, and the output could be further improved by utilizing target with heavy nuclei or the target in annular shape. The results could provide references for irradiation scheme design of producing 252Cf in high flux reactors.
