Abstract:
The spectrum of
152Eu standard source was detected by the low background coaxial HPGe detector. All peaks in the spectrum were recognized and all interference peaks were analyzed. The characteristics of sum peak were analyzed. The difference of the sum peak and characteristic peak was discussed by comparing count rates and energy resolution, and provided a basis judgment for identifying the sum peak. Furthermore, the count rates in the full-energy peaks were modified by considering the sum peak correction, and the radioactive purity of the radioactive sources was calculated. The result was obviously different vs uncorrection, which showed that the correction was necessary in spectrum analysis, especially when the peak intensity data was important.
