微乳液聚合法制备放射源

Preparation of Radioactive Source by Polymerization of Microemulsions

  • 摘要: 采用微乳液聚合方法制备放射源。选择甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)/甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯(HEMA)/水(H2O)为微乳液体系,利用滴定法绘制三元相图,研究了温度与促进剂N,N-二甲基对甲苯胺(DMT)对聚合的影响,利用MMA(DMT)/HEMA/H2O反向无皂微乳液聚合制备了99Mo和125I线源,并测定了放射源活度分布均匀性。结果表明,微乳液聚合是一种制备放射源的良好方法。

     

    Abstract: A new method for preparation of radioactive source by polymerization of microemulsions was introduced. Methyl methacrylate (MMA)/hydroxyethyl methylacrylate (HEMA)/water (H2O) was selected as the microemulsions system. The ternary phase diagram was figured out by the conventional titration technique, and the influences of temperature and N, N-dimethyl toluidine (DMT) as the accelerator on the polymerization were investigated. Then, line sources of 99Mo and 125I were obtained by polymerization of MMA (DMT)/HEMA/H2O soap-free inverse microemulsions, and the radioactivity distribution was measured. The results showed that preparation of radioactive source by polymerization of microemulsions was a good method.
