Application of Radioactive Techniques in the Petrochemical Plant

  • 摘要: 对γ射线扫描技术和中子背散射技术的基本原理以及在石油化工装置中的主要应用进行了简要介绍。重点介绍了γ射线扫描技术在塔器操作上的典型工业应用,和中子背散射技术在测量工业气液分离器、加氢反应器料位的应用。这些应用情况表明,利用射线检测技术不仅可以准确诊断石油化工设备的故障,还可以用于装置的运行状况评价、操作优化、挖潜增效以及实现预测维修等多个方面。因此,该技术在石油化工领域具有广泛的应用前景。

     

    Abstract: Gamma scanning and neutron backscatter techniques, which are widely used in petrochemical plants were briefly introduced. The fundamental of them was explained and the major applications of them in the petrochemical plants were given. Emphasis was placed on the application of gamma scanning in tower operation. Specific examples of their industrial application in recent years were listed, including the level detection of an industrial gas/liquid separator and a hydrogenation reactor by the technique of neutron backscatter. The industrial applications showed that radioactive techniques can play a key role in troubleshooting, optimization and predictive maintenance of the petrochemical devices.
