Abstract: Compare the different and same features between Neutron-Gamma and Neutron Thermal Decay in log-permeation-log technique for determining Residual Oil Saturation and water-flooded zones, and conclude that Neutron-Gamma can replace the Neutron Thermal Decay by the coherences in interpretation. The Neutron-Gamma tool is simple, stable, cost effective, and easy for marketing etc.
