Nuclear Techniques for Detecting Hidden Contraband

摘要: 对检查隐藏的武器、炸药和毒品的核技术进展作了简要叙述。对于放射性物质,测量其γ射线或中子是最直接的方法;对于非放射性物质,一般违禁品最常用的方法是利用X光管产生的低能X射线或铯-137、钴-60等放射源的γ射线,或利用中子技术特别是中子瞬发γ谱分析,β射线激发的飞行时间质谱计与离子迁移率仪,核效应———核四极共振与核磁共振和新近发展起来的T波。这些方法各有其优缺点,也各有其适用的场合。Abstract: The nuclear techniques for inspecting hidden contraband, such as weapons, explosives and drugs are brievely reviewed. The following methods are included: various methods of imaging by using X and γ rays; the prompt γ ray spectroscopy induced by neutrons, β rays, nuclear quadrupole resonance(NQR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR), T waves.
