Abstract:
The transport information of brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in facial nerve is studied using 125 I BDNF or 131 I BDNF. After one lateral facial nerve trunk of adult rabbit is transected, a silicone chamber is inserted between the stumps, and labelled compounds are administered into the chamber. Bilateral facial nerve trunk and facial nerve motor neurone of brain stem of rabbits are collected and counted respectively, and imaged at coronary position of head in live rabbit. The results show that BDNF has a retrograde transport in facial nerve, and the tarnsport of 131 I BDNF is marked restrained by BDNF in facial nerve.
