Abstract: The direct radiation grafting of PNIPAAm onto PVA film is performed. The grafting conditions including the effects of absorbed dose, dose rate, concentration of monomer, acid and Cu 2+ on the grafting yield are studied. In the meantime, the properties of grafted film are determined. The result indicates that the PVA\|g\|PNIPAAm grafted film behaves with higher swelling ratio than pure PVA film and obvious temperature sensitivity.\;
