Abstract: Developments and perspectives in the field of radioimmunoassay were reviewed in the paper, including applications of monoclonal antibody and genetically engineered antigen and antibody, avidin-biotin system, radioactive tracer, separation reagents, immunoradiometric methodology and measurement of free hormones. Immunosensor and non-isotopic label immunoassay were also briefly discussed.
