Abstract: This paper describes how to use the information of water intake profiles obtained from radioactive tracer log to analyze and find high pressure permeable formation band, and provide the best plan for entity water plugging in different types of oil field. Carrying the plan into effect, we have achieved nice results. Another part of the paper states the importance of fluid performance supervision, and describes the logging methods and the time delay logging technique to supervise the oil and/or water performance.
